Resource Manager

Job Description:
The Resource Manager’s role is to lead the management, delivery, and allocation of resource strategies and solutions for project objectives. This position will work closely with in-house resources and 3rd party providers. The Resource Manager is responsible for supporting and collaborating with internal and external parties to optimize utilization of all field resource.

This position will play a critical role in defining and shaping Alpha Video’s resource management framework and strategy that will support the organization’s competitive growth.

Job Duties
• Oversee resource scheduling according to requests
• Track schedule change requests for rework, documentation and efficiency improvement
• Utilize skills matrix to support assignment of resources to projects
• Routinely review skills matrix to ensure accuracy
• Setup and manage project scheduling for tracking in-house personnel and 3rd party suppliers
• Collaborate with Project Manager to align and meet project timeline
• Prepare weekly resource utilization heatmap status reports
• Follow up on subcontractor contract signoff
• Consult with 3rd party providers to determine external need for project
• Maintain healthy relationships with vendor, co-workers, and customers
• Develop strategic scheduling plan to monitor resource allocation
• Perform resource risk assessments to minimize project risk and cost
• Work with assigned Project Manager to manage resource priority and objectives
• Onboarding, qualifying, and contract negotiation of subcontractors
• Responsible for developing and executing a strategic roadmap for resource management, including: forecasting, involvement in pre-sales, subcontractor onboarding and management, etc.
• Responsible for working with internal stakeholders on how to extend tools and processes to subcontractors
• All other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor degree in business, operation management, or a related field
• High degree of proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Experience of delivering priority work within strict timelines
• Experience with resource scheduling and allocation on multiple large project simultaneously

Preferred Experience:
• Previous project management or operation management experience
• Scheduling and travel coordination
• Understanding of the general flow of broadcast and audio-visual projects
• Experience in consulting with 3rd party providers
• Managerial/supervisory experience
